EXTREMA Parts Ways With Singer, Seeks Replacement
January 16, 2007Italian heavy metal legends EXTREMA have issued the following update:
"We know that this news will come as quite a shock to many fans, but after 20 long hard years together, GL Perotti no longers fronts EXTREMA. The decision came about after their last show in Verona on the 24th of November. The split is due to differences of opinion whilst touring. Tommy Massara, Mattia Bigi, Paolo Crimi, and everyone on the crew wish Gianluca all the best and hope he'll be better able to express himself with his new project.
"Although the band has canceled the tour which was due to start this January, they do however confirm the release of their live CD and DVD. The release is expected to be early 2007. In the meantime, the band are hard at work organizing auditions to fill the vacant spot and get back on the road as soon as possible. All those interested should send via email: telephone number, photo, a short biography and two MP3s to the following address: [email protected]."
EXTREMA released its latest album, "Set the World on Fire", in 2005.
